Notes –
Variations –
1 – talli taNDrulu – tali daNDrulu. Both forms are correct.
2 – illu – ilu. Both forms are correct and mean same. From prAsa-anuprAsa point of view 'illu' seems to be appropriate.
4 – giriSa – this is how it is given in all the books. As all the words are given in samskRta, this should normally be ‘girISa’. However, as per telugu dictionary, both ‘giriSa’ and ‘girISa’ are correct.
8 – tyAgarAja nuta – tyAgarAja ‘vinuta.
References –
3 – vidEha – Literally ‘disembodied’. All the kings ruling mithilA were known as ‘janaka’ and ‘vidEha’. In order to know how the name ‘mithilA’, ‘vidEha’ and ‘janaka’ came about, please refer Devi Bhagavatam, Book 6, Chapters 14 and 15.
Further, sItA was not actually born to King janaka. For story of vEdavati – sItA’s earlier incarnation as daughter of sage kuSadhvaja, please refer to SrImad-vAlmIki rAmAyaNa, uttara kANDa, Chapter 17.
4 - giriSa – Though as per SrImad vAlmIki rAmAyaNa, AnjanEya is son of vAyu, there are other stories which describe him as amSa (aspect) of Lord Siva. AnjanEya as an aspect of Siva - 1; and AnjanEya as an aspect of Siva - 2
5 – vidhi indra arka - As per SrImad vAlmIki rAmayaNa, jAmbavAn (the bear), vAli and sugrIva were the sons of brahmA, indra and sUrya respectively.
7 – dara cakra phaNIndra – Please refer to discourse of Kanchi Paramacharya regarding incarnations of lakshmaNa, bharata and Satrughna –
Comments -
6 – SaSAnka – Either in SrImad vAlmIki rAmAyaNa or elsewhere, no reference is found about which vAnara was the son of moon.

girīśa and giriśa are both names of śiva in Sanskrit, with different derivations: girēḥ iśaḥ iti girīśaḥ, lord of the mountain (Kailasa). girau śētē iti giriśaḥ, He who rests on the mountain (Kailasa).
