yearns (rA kOru) (literally seeks to come) for the company (celimi) (literally friendship) of those dedicated (parAyaNula) (literally having as final aim) to You (nI)
because (anucu) I should (he should) not (rAdu) (rAdanucu) get associated (cEra) with evil-some (durAtmulagu) savages (kirAtakula) on the Earth (bhU);
O Beautiful (sundara) Figure (AkAra) (sundarAkAra)! O Supreme Lord (parAtpara) (literally beyond everything)! O Virtuous One (su-guNa)!

Notes –
Variations –
3 – durAtmulagu – durAtmulaku. In my opinion, since the word ‘durAtmulu’ qualifies ‘kirAtakulu’, it should be ‘durAtmulagu’; it has accordingly been adopted. With ‘ka’ sound, the caraNa does not make sense.

1 – kathAmRtamu cE – Having drunk the nectar of Your story. SrI tyAgarAja seems to echo the wordings of dhruva – (Srimad-bhAgavata, Book 4, Chapter 9) -

2 – Akali tIriyunnAnu – I am sated. The following tamizh tirukkuRaL verse is relevant -
