6 - kankaNamu – vaLayamu or vaLaiyal (tamizh) made of glass are normally worn by women because of the jingling sound produced.

This song is part of the dance-drama ‘nauka caritraM’ – The Boat Story.

Background - The gOpis meet kRshNa at the yamunA river and contemplate travel in a boat. kRshNa says that it is not within the capacity of the women to steer boat and says he will do the job; however, the gOpis do not believe Him and think that He is upto some trick. After Lord convinces them, the boat journey starts – this kRti describes the journey. This description is made by the celestial damsels watching the spectacle.

    Namaskaram Govindan sir,
There is a correction i would suggest in the meaning of 2nd charanan first line.
    It should be:
Kondaru tadabada = as some staggerred (due to ship movement), palindlu kadala = their breasts have stayed. In the given meaning it is the reverse which is not correct as per correct sentence rules.
Kindly give a thought and correct if you feel it appropriate.
    Regards sir

    Sir,
The meaning you suggest is same as what I have given 'to the sway' as a consequence of 'staggering'. This will be clear from Tamil meaning given therein.
